YELLOW-FINNED-TUNA

Description

It is a fish with an elongated body, the head and eyes are small. Its second dorsal and anal fin is longer than the rest.

It is gray or blue in color, with a yellow or silver belly.

It is one of the largest tuna species in the world. It can reach a weight of more than 180 kg and can be more than 200 cm long.

It is found in tropical and subtropical waters throughout the world with the exception of the Mediterranean Sea.

It is caught with longline gear.
